After receiving a MFA degree in painting and filmmaking, I worked as an artist for four years before landing a job as a TV cameraman with ABC in Sacramento, California. 
 
During my artist’s years, I showed at a number of galleries in California, was a regular contributor to the California art scene and taught college art at CSUS.  During my years as a cameraman in television, I received seven Emmy nominations and won three Emmys (camera, lighting, directing) and two awards from the Associated Press. 
 
After ten years at ABC, I became a partner in a film and video production company ‘On Air Productions’ with offices in both Sacramento and London, Ontario, moving permanently to London in 1991 where we received several international Telly awards.
