Is Canadian art a good investment?

Investing in original Canadian Art has offered better returns than cash and other government investments since 1900.
It's considered one of the best long-term reliable investments because it holds its value over time. Unlike stocks or other investments, art does not tend to go up and down in value based on market fluctuations.
My art and paintings have been described as Surrealism ‘with a sense of humor’. I use common images and combine them to create a new context. By doing so, I want viewers to realize how much we normally accept, without questioning both visually and literally, and depend on context for recognition. And when the context changes, the common image becomes not so common and takes on new and often random, sometimes dream-like meanings.
